How to improve weak and stubborn body parts?
Resistance training is a powerful form of exercise. You can improve your endurance, strength, agility and even mobility using strength training. It’s the only form of exercise that allows you to focus and sculpt your body to look exactly the way you want.
However, even though with resistance training you have more control over your body, you’ll come across “weak and stubborn” body parts.
Here are the most common reasons why:
- Not doing the right exercises: remember there are
plenty of exercises that exist per body part, but some are far more effective. - Not training frequently enough: if you are training your weak body part once or twice a week you are missing out on adaptation potential. Meaning, in order to strengthen them you must be training at least 3-4 times per week.
- Poor muscle connection: you may be doing the right exercises and training the perfect amount of time but STILL see no progress, you might be suffering from poor muscle activation. Meaning, your muscles are not firing up properly during the exercises.
Solution: Priming! Before training that muscle do an isolation exercise, focus on slow full range of motion and SQUEEZE the muscle.
